Job Description
The Wales Audit Office (WAO) Board has responsibility to develop the strategic direction of the WAO and ensure the functions of the organisation are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively.
The organisation employs around 280 staff, and the Auditor General is its Chief Executive and Accounting Officer. The Auditor General is a statutory office holder responsible for a range of audit functions including the audit of the accounts of most public bodies in Wales.
