VMware Implementation Project Manager IT Infrastructure

• Project Planning and Execution by develop project plans timelines and budgets for infrastructure projects involving VMware technologies.
  
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met within scope schedule and budget constraints.
  
• Lead a team of engineers and technicians responsible for implementing VMwarebased infrastructure solutions.
  
• Provide guidance direction and support to team members throughout the project lifecycle.
  
• Collaborate with vendors and thirdparty service providers to procure necessary hardware software and services for infrastructure projects.
  
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure deliverables meet project requirements.
  
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with infrastructure projects including technical challenges resource constraints and potential security vulnerabilities.
  
• Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen issues and minimize project disruptions.
  
• Communicate project status updates and key milestones to stakeholders including senior management IT teams and endusers.
  
• Gather feedback and incorporate stakeholder input to ensure project alignment with organizational goals.
  
• Implement quality assurance processes to validate the functionality performance and reliability of VMware infrastructure solutions.
  
• Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure adherence to industry best practices and standards.
  
• Maintain accurate documentation of project requirements specifications and configurations.
  
• Generate regular reports summarizing project progress resource utilization and key performance metrics.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in computer science Information Technology or related field.
  
• Minimum of 46 years experience as a Project Manager Infrastructure.
  
• Strong project management skills with experience leading crossfunctional teams and managing complex infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.
  
• Indepth knowledge of VMware technologies including vSphere vCenter NSX and vSAN.
  
• Familiarity with virtualization concepts hypervisor architectures and software defined networking/storage.
  
• Understanding of enterprise infrastructure components such as servers storage systems networking devices and data center facilities.
  
• Ability to design scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions using VMware products.
  
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
  
• Experience facilitating meetings presenting project proposals and negotiating with vendors.
  
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to identify and resolve technical issues optimize performance and troubleshoot infrastructure problems in VMware environments.
  
• Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) Project Management Professional (PMP) or ITIL Foundation Certification are highly beneficial and demonstrate expertise in VMware technologies and project management best practices.
  
• Expertise in technologies including but not limited to Kubernetes projects would be considered and added advantage.
