responsible for the implementation maintenance and performance optimization of

Key Responsibilities:
1. Database Management:
Install configure and maintain database software and related
technologies.
Ensure the security and integrity of the databases.
Monitor database performance and optimize as necessary.
2. Data Backup and Recovery:
Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies.
Perform regular data backups to safeguard against data loss.
3. Database Tuning:
Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization.
Identify and resolve database performance issues.
4. Security Management:
Implement and maintain database security measures.
Monitor and address security vulnerabilities.
5. Collaboration:
Collaborate with development teams to design and implement
database solutions.
Work closely with IT teams across different locations.
6. Documentation:
Create and maintain database documentation.
Develop and implement best practices for database usage.
7. Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve databaserelated issues promptly.
Provide oncall support as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related
field.
Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
Strong proficiency in database management systems (DBMS).
Excellent knowledge of database design and normalization principles.
Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
Familiarity with database security concepts.
Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in database administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional
Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate).
