Collaborates with all organizational levels addressing financial inquiries variances and procedures. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert offering training testing and continuous improvement in the accounting domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Executes periodend closings journal entries and account reconciliations conducting financial results analysis.
- Collaborates with business leaders on forecasts performance metrics and initiatives.
- Identifies accounting issues researches solutions presents conclusions to management and implements corrective actions.
- Generates ad hoc reports and analyses to provide insights into financial data.
- Evaluates recommends maintains and monitors internal controls accounting processes and procedures.
- Mentors and trains Accountants on reports systems financial process flows and procedures.
- Meets audit requirements collaborating with internal and external auditors.
- Supports the preparation of finance and operational presentations for management.
- Coordinates resolution of accounting or finance queries affecting operating results.
- Collaborates closely with Sourcing for purchase requisitions and related support.
Qualifications:
- Holds a Bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field.
- Possesses 35 years of General Accounting or relevant work experience.
- Technical Accounting experience is essential.
- CPA preferred; MBA beneficial but not required.
- Demonstrates broad crossfunctional teamwork experience across all organizational levels.
- Proficient in analyzing interpreting and reporting financial data.
- Problemsolving skills with the ability to streamline processes.
- Works with minimal supervision managing competing priorities organizing work and meeting customer needs.
- Proactive selfstarter identifying business improvement areas.
- Exhibits functional expertise.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.
- High skillset in data retrieval manipulation calculation and analysis using ERP systems and Excel.
