Job Description

Our Client is a wellestablished Community Bank based in the Balham area of South London. They are looking for an experienced Loans and Business Officer who enjoys working in a fastpaced environment and delivering the best customer service to join their team.

Requirements

Accept members financial deposits record them issue receipts and prepare monies for banking including completing end of day reconciliations.
Process Loan Applications and make payments out as required.
Complete data entry tasks as appropriate.
Assist with the compilation of financial and management information for the Board of Directors.
Submit and pay invoices.
Conduct bank reconciliations.
move monies between deposit and current accounts.
Set up and process direct debits BACS transfers and standing orders

Service delivery

  • Develop maintain and monitor effective finance administrative systems.

  • Ascertain the needs of members and to ensure the resources of the organisation are adequate and sufficient to meet these demands.

  • Ensure an excellent professional and prompt service to our members.

  • Staff the main office as required.

  • Ensure that appropriate systems are in place and maintained for financial management information.

  • Deal with member enquiries over the telephone by email and post.

  • Promote equality of opportunity.

  • Ensure the effective management and security of assets including premises and all its contents.


The ideal candidate will have

  • Experience of finance administration

  • Ability to process and input core accounting data.

  • A background in sales would be beneficial

  • Previous experience of working in a financial institution and with loans and making lending decisions.



Contract Length: Fixed term for 6 months

Working Pattern: Full time Monday to Friday 9am 5pm

Hybrid working options available i.e. onsite and remote working.
