The Academic Writing and Editing Services Manager is responsible for managing a team of writers and editors who provide academic writing and editing services to students, researchers, and academic institutions. The Manager will oversee the daily operations of the department, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. They will also be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, managing projects, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of writers and editors, including recruitment, training, and development
  • Oversee the daily operations of the department, including project management and quality assurance
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, including responding to client inquiries, developing proposals, and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement marketing strategies
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure consistency and quality of work
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new products and services
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback to team members

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in English, communications, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in academic writing and editing, including project management and team leadership
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools
  • Knowledge of academic writing styles and citation formats
  • Experience with client relationship management
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices
