Job Description:


  • Design and analyze aerospace valves ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate valves into complex aerospace systems.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical recommendations for valve selection and integration.
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations simulations and analysis to validate valve performance under various conditions.
  • Generate comprehensive design documentation including 3D models drawings and technical specifications.
  • Participate in prototyping testing and validation processes to ensure the functionality and reliability of developed valve systems.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to address designrelated challenges and optimize production processes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies related to aerospace valves proposing and implementing improvements accordingly.


Requirements

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks Creo) for 3D modeling and simulation.
  • Indepth knowledge of fluid dynamics thermodynamics and material science as applied to valve design.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural and thermal simulations.
  • Experienced in fluent software.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations governing aerospace valves (e.g. ASME FAA).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes related to aerospace fluid components.
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering principles and failure mode analysis.


Other Skills Required:

  • Effective communication skills for collaboration within interdisciplinary teams.
  • Strong problemsolving and criticalthinking abilities.
  • Detailoriented with a focus on precision in design and documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Adaptable and open to learning new technologies and methodologies.


Essential:

  • Bachelor s or master s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience (15 years) preference 2 years in the design and development of aerospace valves.


Preference:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • Experience working on aerospace projects for defense or space applications.
  • Familiarity with standards specific to the aerospace industry (e.g. MILSTD).
  • Advanced degree (M.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Indepth knowledge of electromechanical or control systems related to valve applications.

Design and Development: - Develop detailed designs for layup tools, jigs, fixtures, and tooling to be used in various composite manufacturing processes. - Use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to create 3D models and 2D drawings of fixtures and tooling. 2. Process Analysis and Evaluation: - Analyze manufacturing processes to determine the requirements for jigs and fixtures. - Analyze composite manufacturing processes to determine the requirements for layup tools and molds. - Work closely with manufacturing engineers and production teams to understand specific layup process requirements. - Evaluate existing fixtures and tools for improvements in terms of efficiency and cost-effectiveness. 3. Collaboration: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing engineers, composite technicians, and quality control personnel, to address design challenges and ensure compatibility with other production processes. 4. Material Selection: - Choose appropriate materials for the construction of jigs and fixtures based on factors such as durability, weight, and cost. - Choose appropriate materials for the construction of layup tools based on factors such as temperature resistance, durability, and weight. 5. Cost Estimation: - Estimate the cost of manufacturing jigs and fixtures, considering materials, production processes, and labor. 6. Prototyping: - Create prototypes or mock-ups of jigs and fixtures to test and validate design concepts before full-scale production. 7. Documentation: - Prepare detailed documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials, to facilitate the manufacturing and assembly processes. 8. Quality Control: - Implement quality control measures to ensure that jigs and fixtures meet design specifications and manufacturing standards. - Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address and resolve issues related to tooling and fixtures. 9. Continuous Improvement: - Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in design processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. 10. Training: - Provide training and guidance to production personnel on the proper use and maintenance of jigs and fixtures. 11. Safety Compliance: - Ensure that designed jigs and fixtures comply with safety standards and regulations. 12. Problem Solving: - Troubleshoot and solve problems related to the performance and functionality of jigs and fixtures in the manufacturing process. - Troubleshoot and solve problems related to the performance and functionality of layup tools in the composite manufacturing process. 13.
