Senior Test Automation Engineer Senior AQA

Responsibilities:

Test Framework Development:

• Define and implement a robust UAT test framework from minimal requirements documentation ensuring comprehensive coverage in a multilingual environment.
• Decisiontaking considering the projects tight schedule and resource constraints with an eye on the longterm roadmap laying the foundations for a future automation of testing activities.

Requirements Analysis:

• Bridge the gap between requirements and effective test strategies leveraging the deep knowledge and understanding available within the existing team.
• It is important to note that the role is at Business side and thus the focus is on endtoend User Acceptance Testing.

UAT Test Case Design Setup and Execution:

• Lead the creation of detailed test cases and set up test data to validate the endtoend functionality of the new product platforms.
• Execute test cases actively dedicating at least 50% of your time to test execution to meet tight timelines.
• Set the scene and lay the foundations for gradual increase of Test Automation levels.

Progress Reporting:

• Develop and maintain progress reporting keeping stakeholders informed about testing milestones challenges and solutions. (Pragmatic approach: reporting on progress as a means to an end.)

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including developers project managers and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of testing efforts with overall project goals

DecisionMaking:

• Identify and continuously reevaluate the critical areas for UAT testing taking into account time and resource constraints.
  

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Track record of developing effective and efficient test frameworks/test organisation.
• Proven experience with test automation tools (UFT Selenium others...) and test reporting tools.
• Exceptional business analysis skills demonstrating the ability to extract meaningful insights from minimal requirements documentation and the ability to leverage on the available knowledge yet with an acknowledged capacity of becoming autonomous at warpspeed.

Nice to have:

• Previous involvement in projects involving the overhaul of IT platforms for financial institutions is highly desirable.

Soft skills:

• Willingness to execute test cases actively with a commitment to spending at least 50% of your time on test execution. Although we are looking for an experienced test engineer we also need you to be willing to get your hands dirty.

• Ability to navigate a multilingual work environment.

• Ability to integrate seamlessly into an existing team structure leveraging the deep knowledge and experience within the team.

• Very much resultoriented spirit.

• English: Professional proficiency
• French:Professional proficiency will bea strong plus

Location: Belgium50% on site & 50% remote

! Travel: Occasional travelling to Paris.
