Quality Engineer Automation

• Perform functional automated and regression testing from low level test environments through release to Production including User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  
• Authoring detailed test cases that provide high coverage and enforce traceability back to the user story.
  
• Isolate replicate and report defects then verify fixes within JIRA. Ensure all corrective actions are assigned documented and completed.
  
• Work closely with project and product managers to ensure design adherence.
  
• Implement appropriate scripts and execute test plans in alignment with the stipulated test strategies and approaches.
  
• Document findings and perform root cause analyses.
  
• Recommend solutions and improvements to existing standards and procedures.
  
• Analyze requirements and processes for all applications ensuring test plans cases and scripts meet strict quality standards.
  
• Gather maintain and report quality metrics and their deltas over time.
  
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC while working within an Agile environment.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  
• 3 years of Quality/Automation Engineering experience.
  
• Working knowledge in UI automation (Selenium) and API automation (Rest assured).
  
• Working knowledge in automated testing frameworks such as Manual Testing API testing Web application and Mobile testing Performance test is preferred.
  
• Experience in Performance testing using JMeter will be an added advantage.
  
• Retail Industry experience preferred.
  
• Java Python or other OOPs conceptbased programming knowledge is preferred.
  
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman or similar.
  
• Experience with SQL NoSQL and/or Document databases.
  
• Experience with Mongo DB preferred.
  
• Familiarity with JIRA or equivalent bug tracking software.
  
• Experience with Confluence document management system.
  
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  
• Strong work ethic positive attitude and a desire to be challenged and learn new skills.
  
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
