Tier 1 Technician Job Description

WHAT YOULL BE DOING:

• Provide technical assistance to customers via phone email and chat
• Manage and support customer networks equipment and services
• Develop customer relationships through excellent customer service
• Document issues and solutions via ticketing and internal knowledge base
• Onboard new hires and provision desktop equipment
• Collaborate with staff customers and vendors

MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in IT Support or professional training
• Basic understanding of LAN/WAN configuration
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively
• Ability to read and write technical documentation
• Have a passion for teamwork and problem solving
• Strong desire to learn and to grow your technical skill set
• Must be wellspoken detailoriented dependable and flexible
• High school or equivalent (Required)

ITS AN ASSET IF YOU HAVE:

• Previous Managed Service Provider or IT Services firm experience
• Experience with ConnectWise Labtech Cisco Meraki Proofpoint
• Industry certifications such as Microsoft or CompTIA
• Experience with Microsoft Server or VMWare Server
• Experience with scripting and automation
• Experience with Apple products
• Experience with VOIP solutions
• Military DD214
