Cafe Cook

We are recruiting a Cook to join the team within a popular and successful cafe in Dunmail Park.

The position is permanent and full time (c35 hours per week) and you will be working 5 days per week with two days off. It s working in the daytime (no evenings!). The rota does include Saturdays and Sundays but you should get at least one full weekend off per month.

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who has previously worked in a busy kitchen in a cafe restaurant school care home pub or hotel.

Your new job

• Preparation and cooking.
  
• Plating meals according to orders and special requests.
  
• Menus and specials.
  
• Traditional cafe fayre (breakfasts mains snacks and desserts).
  
• Monitoring ingredient and supply levels and reordering stock.
  
• Stock rotation.
  
• Ensuring food storage and meal preparation follows food safety and hygiene regulations.
  

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Cook.
  
• Ability to follow recipes.
  
• Food safety and hygiene regulations knowledge.
  
• Organised.
  
• Calm when it gets busy.
  
• Team player.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
