Cloud Engineer

This is a handson technical role accountable for working with customers to help DevOps teams to provide quick resolutions for production level disruptions. In this role the candidate will own technical engagement; working directly with the teams and business unit to envision monitor and help in the enablement of DevOps culture.

Skills:

2 to 4 years of handson experience as a Cloud Engineer

Experience monitoring a 24/7 SaaS with I&P management proper understanding.

Basic Scripting experience to troubleshoot.

Deep understanding of manual data analysis reporting.

Deep understanding of monitoring tools to troubleshoot and find root cause experience with Datadog.

Good knowledge of at least one operating system: Linux Unix Solaris Ubuntu Windows. Preference is any LINUX flavored operating system (eg: Ubuntu or Red Hat)..

Basic understanding of networking: TCP/IP IP addresses HTTP DNS VPN. Especially cloud networking.

Good understanding of container technology (Docker) and Container orchestration technology (Kubernetes) to do basic troubleshooting.

Experience in Debugging production level disruptions using traces metrics and dumps.

Good handson experience in Incident and problem management process and tools around it like Jira Mattermost Confluence etc.

Very good communication skills

Job Responsibilities:

Monitor APM and infra for the whole system in a 24/7 model.

Develop automation to generate reports.

Provide first level analysis using debugging traces and dumps present in APM tools like datadog

Monitor quality of I&P with proper guidance and work in collaboration of DevOps teams

Prepare and present reports around performance metrics.

Lead meetings for Incident and problem management

Analyze historical data and provide insight to do problem clustering.

What we are looking for: 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps & Cloud A person who has experience in assisting/helping to architect, design and develop Cloud & DevOps practices on one or more cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) Must be an expert in implementing CI & CD pipeline with various DevOps tool sets. Should be able to evaluate, implement, and streamline the DevOps practices for the clients thereby speeding up the software development and deployment process Hands-on experience with CI & CD tools(like Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory/Nexus), Source Control (like Git- Bitbucket, Github, Gitlab/SVN etc.) Experience in creating continuous delivery practices by using Terraform/ARM Templates/Cloud Formation. Must possess excellent knowledge of infrastructure configuration & automation tools (like Ansible) in both development and production environments Should possess the experience in designing & building applications using container & serverless technologies. Kubernetes expertise is a must have and knowledge on Service Mesh, Tracing, Helm Charts etc would be an added advantage. Must have strong expertise in operating Linux environments and scripting languages like Shell. Good presentation and communications skills. Be willing to be challenged and learn new skills.
