Job Description Application Support Team Lead
Function: We are seeking an openminded Application Support Team Lead to join our dynamic team in the logistics business.
The ideal candidate will have a developer background coupled with team leadership experience and a proven track record of running services in production.
This role requires a keen interest in reliability infrastructure logs and monitoring.
Client Logistics has developed a suite of applications on SAP and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing these applications.
The technology stack includes Java Python and Javascript running on platforms such as IBM Cloud AWS and GCE.

Location: Remote basis from India with interactions with client colleagues in the UK and internationally and customers worldwide.
Working hours are synced with UK working hours.
Principal Accountabilities:
On a daytoday basis the ideal candidate will:
Manage a team of 2 Application Support Analysts working remotely from India.
Support and troubleshoot inhouse applications.
Take ownership of Service Desk (Zendesk) tickets to completion and provide customerfocused feedback and progress visibility.
Identify systemic patterns within the IT applications that can be translated into system improvements or changes.
Work with development teams to implement these changes.
Operate within UK working hours.
Education / Qualification:
Preferable degree in Engineering Technology Software Development Computer Science or a related field. Alternatively other equivalent qualifications or relevant work experience.
Masters in Technology/Business Administration is an advantage.
ITIL certification.
Language Proficiency:
Speaking / Reading / Writing English & Hindi / Any local language.
Experience:
3 years of web development experience.
3 years working in an application support or Service Desk role.
3 years handson experience with REST APIs.
3 years handson experience with Oracle Postgres and SQL Server including writing custom scripts working with Stored Procedures and reporting through Excel.
Experience working in Development/Engineering teams.
Experience in IT problemsolving.
Knowledge and Skill Set:
Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS) and Business Applications design.
Knowledge of Java Javascript and Python.
Understanding of business IT processes and procedures.
Exposure to ticketing systems and understanding of customerfacing responsibilities.
Passion for innovation and technology.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Personal accountability and a drive for excellence.
ITIL knowledge/certification.
Nice to Have:
SAP knowledge.
IBM WebSphere knowledge.
