Job Highlights:
- We are looking for a highly skilled individual who will act as a wellrounded MSSQL Database Administrator able to perform mid to high level troubleshooting for all Database and related issues and performance testing and monitoring.
- Responsible for security integrity performance availability and recoverability of databases database servers and related systems. Understands the changing technologies associated with databases and enterprise operation systems and Hardware.
- Knowledgeable in best practices provisioning performance monitoring; and how it relates to database performance. Plan deploy maintain enterprise hardware and software. Works with teams on projects related to growing business needs and insuring service level agreements. PDBA will also be responsible for Production systems troubleshooting which may involve data flow analysis stored procedure troubleshooting profiling index tuning hardware capacity tuning etc
- Knowledge on AWS managed database would be a plus.
Responsibilities:
Install Maintain and Secure new versions RDBMS software applications and associated software
Manage databases and associated software insuring security availability and recoverability
Create monitor and secure backup plans that align with business needs
Perform optimization on production databases insuring high levels of transactions
Works with Development Performance and Implementation DBAs on projects related to enterprise data and systems
Deploy Configure and Monitor performance and perform troubleshooting
Works with Customers on troubleshooting production issues within the Customers database
Requirements
Requirements/Skills/Knowledge:
3 years relevant work experience
Requires strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of MySQL and / or MS SQL Server database architecture security scalability including Replication Clustering Mirroring and related technologies
Knowledge of basic TransactSQL related to Production DBA responsibilities
General knowledge in Networking concepts practices configuration and troubleshooting
Experience required: 4 Good hands on experience with AWS services in Bigdata. Good to have Azure Data Analytics exposure. You have 10+ years of overall experience in which 5+ years in leading analytics/BI Teams. Experience working in fintech firms preferred (not mandatory) Hands on experience on Python and Apache Spark is a must. The primary focus is on Data Engineering tools - Glue, S3, Redshift, Lambda, PySpark, Spark, EMR, Dynamo DB, Kinesis Exposure to creating end-to-end data pipeline for an enterprise customer. Basic understanding on AI/ML solutions. Good to have PoC/Implementation knowledge on some of the AWS ML services. Knowledge on Snowflake/Databricks will be added advantage. Working experience with version control platforms e.g. Git
