What You Will Do

Computers People is hiring two ACP Community Outreach Specialist to run weekly outreach events at communitybased events and partner organization centers! Under the supervision and guidance of the ACP Communications Director theACP Community Outreach Specialist will

• Increase awareness and build trust in the ACP by directly engaging with prospective beneficiaries of the program
  
• Identify and foster connections with key community advocates in northern NJ and NYC region
  
• Provide oneonone assistance to help individuals sign up for the ACP benefits
  
• Assist with marketing functions such as but not limited to monitoring social media maintaining the website and writing engaging emails for the ACP and Computers for People
  
• Follow up on leads and promote ACP benefits and Computers for People programs
  
• Participate in job training educational programs and meetings
  
• Perform other duties as needed
  

Qualifications

• High School
  
• Proficient in another language (a plus)
  
• Some customer service experience (Preferred but not required)
  
• Available to travel to partner organization centers in the northern NJ/NYC region (Required)Most events will occur on weekdays during regular business hours but on rare occasions some events may occur on the weekend as needed

The Affordable Connectivity Program is a federal program that helps households afford the broadband they need for work school healthcare and more The benefit provides a discount of up to $ per month toward internet service for eligible households and up to $ per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands
