Job Description

The Distribution Sales Manager is responsible to develop and grow the company s distributor sales in line with the Company s objectives This role will support our existing network of distributors across the US as well as create and cultivate a new network You will be utilizing existing sales experience to reach required targets to secure national accounts

  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully identifying targets
  • Develop quality relationships with new contacts
  • Provide accurate and timely quotations for existing and potential customers
  • Utilize productspecific knowledge to support sales through distributor network
  • Provide face to face support to customers as required prepare presentations as needed
  • Develop distribution networks within targeted geographies
  • Maintain accurate records and monitor distributor activity using inhouse systems
  • Provide a meaningful helpful and enjoyable experience for our customers
  • Prioritize markets and determine market entry strategies for new regions and for new and existing product lines
  • Collect and analyze market data to drive growth and develop markets
  • Develop an understanding of current and future market trends that may impact sales
  • Ensure revenue targets of distributors are achieved within the responsible territories
  • Establish and lead regular meetings and conference calls with distributors
  • Ensure distributors are equipped with the necessary sales skills to represent company through coaching individuals in the field and personally observing the performance of distributors
  • Implement new sales strategies and techniques with the distributors
  • Establish and enforce pricing and discount policies
  • Monitor lead pipelines
  • Develop an accurate and realistic annual budget plan and monitor performance to budget
  • Develop and execute monthly and quarterly reports in a timely and efficient manner
  • Prepare monthly sales forecasts for the upcoming three to six months
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers in each territory
  • Provide regular written and oral presentations
  • Attend trade exhibitions
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with distributors and other members of the company
  • Travel required


Requirements
  • Experience in a mechanical/commercial/industrial environment preferred
  • years of previous channel sales experience
  • Mechanical mathematical aptitude a plus
  • Highly motivated selfstarter with the ability to think innovatively and work independently and within a team
  • Ability to plan and direct initiatives for growth
  • Excellent followthrough and task completion
  • Willingness to pursue new or unproven ideas ability to learn and adapt in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to motivate distributors and effectively engage with customers
  • Computer skills Microsoft office willing to learn to new programs
