Job Description

Job Title : Lead Power Electronics Engineer

Location : Chillicothe, Illinois

Job Type : Contract/Fulltime

Job Description:


Electrical or Power Electronics engineer with 4 to 8 years of experience in any Power Converter System product company in R&D or NPD
Must have minimum 3 years of experience in Design, Testing & debugging of proof of concept/NPD for DC-DC or 3ph AC-DC converters with voltage range 400 - 900 V with power level >1 kW
Must have experience in design and selection of semiconductor parts, its cooling mechanism, passive components, protection circuits, sensing circuits
Must have experience with battery charger development cycle
Must have understanding on PCB artwork layout design with voltage range 1kV functional
Familiarity with typical safety/EMI/environmental standards for Power Converter Systems
Familiarity with EMC requirements & filter design
Understanding on Hardware-Mechanical interface & Hardware-Software interface
Must have understanding on fundamental analytical equations & design for Inductors & Transformers
Understanding on converter controls specification & design
Good to have knowledge on understanding on charging protocols
Good communication skills
Coordination with multiple global vendors and teams
