Job Description
We are looking for Data Architect to join as external consultant one of our main customer in Geneva
Overview of our customer Our customer is one of the largest independent energy trading groups in the world and operates through a global group of companies Although mainly a physical oil trader the Group is now broadly based with active trading operations in gas coal power nonferrous metals derivatives and sugar
Essentially they trade energy they create markets for fuel products they deliver cargoes safely onspecification and ontime they provide extensive terminal and storage facilities and they engineer innovative financing structures to the benefit of their customers
Through a Foundation they are also active in charitable funding to benefit severely deprived children in Asia Africa Latin America and CIS Founded in Rotterdam in today the company has nearly offices worldwide with its largest operations in Geneva Houston London and Singapore
As experimented Data Architect in collaboration with development teams you will
- Provide SQL and PL/SQL support to developers
- Support database developers for data design and SQL optimizations
- Develop monitoring solutions
- Process and architecture improvements Support and maintain CTRM architecture features (Oracle forms archi reporting logging database locks mngt Job scheduler)
- Support and maintain request and management tool
- Dev Quality process improvement and automation
- Training dev teams (archi features Dev best practices like Exception managment or API design Unit tests )
- Document and maintain the existing documentations for the technical scope of the main application of our customer and the dev tools and processes
- Technical watching (Oracle Forms New Oracle database features )
- Contribute to technical upgrades and coordinate tasks across involved teams
- Contribute or coordinate transversal technical projects
Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science Engineering or an equivalent field
- Proven data modelling skills to translate business situations into data structures proficiency in SQL
- At least years experience in similar position(s) eg as a userfacing DB engineer
- Oracle Forms application development minimum years of experience
- Strong Oracle database knowledge (release from c)
- Entrepreneurial drive ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Proactive and userfocused make it work mentality with a genuine interest in the functional as well as technical aspects of each challenge encountered comfortable with daily release cycle model Willingness to help and collaborate across teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full proficiency communicating in English in a business context (verbally & in writing)
