Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer

Mason Evans are currently recruiting for a principal level geoenvironmental engineer Ideally the candidate would have years experience working within the geoenvironmental consultancy sector and be chartered or working towards chartership (CGeol CEng or CEnv) We would be looking for a candidate with a minimum of BSc (Hons) in earth science/geology/geoscience or geography or civil engineering with relevant experience

The candidate should need minimal support and work largely independently with responsibility for detailed management of projects covering a wide range of geoenvironmental works

Roles and responsibilities would include but would not be limited to

• Involved in determining the overall team direction working alongside Associate/Director
• Organising site works and setting out (though on a lesser capacity and more training of junior staff)
• Organising testing schedules (independently)
• Collating factual and interpretative reports reviewing junior staff reports before being passed to associate/director for final approval
• Attending client meetings running meetings sometimes with support
• Council/Peer Review comments
• Quoting for works
• Involvement in team finances
• Organising training events for staff (company wide)
• Progressing with CPD of specialist skills and Chartership
• Assisting in other roles within the business (H&S Marketing new revenue streams etc)
• Professional responsibility and development of each team member

The job would be based out of our Glasgow office We do not have a flexitime program however we are setup for remote working though this would be on an adhoc basis and following discussion with your relevant associate/director

Salary would be negotiable
