Job Purpose: The Planning & Scheduling Engineer plays a vital role in performing complex Project Control activities and overseeing Project Controls for one to two medium-sized projects of high to medium complexity. This role requires the formulation of project monitoring systems, handling key project interfaces, and implementing strategies for data management and report updates. The incumbent will align project schedules with project requirements, publish project baseline plans, and review analytical reports to accelerate project progress. Additionally, they will guide and mentor subordinates to enhance their project management skills.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes:

• Maintain key relationships with project stakeholders, including HOD Project Controls, Sr Project Controls Manager, Complex Project Manager, and various project teams.
  
• Collaborate with Cost Estimation, Cost Control, Procurement, Contracts, Risk Management, and Construction teams to ensure effective project control.
  
• Formulate and maintain project monitoring systems and execute strategies for data management and report updates.
  
• Align project schedules with project requirements and publish baseline plans for implementation.
  
• Review and analyse analytical reports to accelerate project progress and meet targets.
  
• Guide and mentor subordinates to establish an effective project control system and improve their skill sets.
  

Educational Qualifications:

• Necessary: ICMAR graduate
  

Desirable (Any of the following):

• NICMAR (National Institute of Construction Management and Research) graduate
  
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
  
• MBA in finance
  

Relevant Experience:

• Necessary: Minimum 11-13 years of experience in project planning and control functions in sectors such as Refinery, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Oil & Gas, and Energy.
  
• Desirable: Exposure to Contracts, Commercial, and Risk Management, as well as Project Management and Project Execution.
  

Scope of Work:

• People Management Scope: 10-15 direct reports.
  
• Geography Coverage: Limited to Guwahati and surrounding areas.
  
• Corporate Coverage: Function-wide.
