This is a remote position.
As a Leisure Travel Consultant, you play a pivotal role in helping individuals and families plan and book their dream vacations and leisure trips. Your primary responsibilities include:
1. Customer Consultation:
- Consult with clients to understand their travel preferences, interests, and budget.
- Provide personalized travel recommendations and itineraries based on client needs.
2. Destination Knowledge:
- Stay updated on various travel destinations, accommodations, activities, and attractions.
- Offer expert advice on the best places to visit and activities to enjoy.
3. Itinerary Planning:
- Create detailed travel itineraries that include flights, accommodations, transportation, and activities.
- Make reservations for hotels, flights, car rentals, and tours.
4. Budget Management:
- Assist clients in setting and managing their travel budgets.
- Offer cost-effective solutions while ensuring an enjoyable travel experience.
5. Travel Documentation:
- Ensure clients have all necessary travel documents, such as passports and visas.
- Provide information on entry requirements and travel restrictions.
6. Booking and Reservation:
- Use booking systems and platforms to secure flights, accommodations, and other travel-related services.
- Confirm reservations and provide clients with booking details.
7. Customer Service:
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and special requests promptly and professionally.
- Assist clients during their travels, including resolving any travel-related issues.
8. Travel Trends:
- Stay informed about current travel trends, packages, and promotions.
- Offer clients opportunities to explore new and exciting destinations.
9. Sales and Marketing:
- Promote travel packages and special deals to potential clients.
- Build and maintain a client database for future promotions and communication.
10. Documentation and Records:
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and client preferences.
- Complete paperwork, invoices, and receipts as required.
11. Continuous Learning:
- Continuously update your knowledge of the leisure travel industry, including emerging destinations and travel regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in tourism or related field is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of travel destinations, accommodations, and travel trends.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in using booking systems and travel planning software.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Sales and marketing skills are advantageous.
- Certification from a recognized travel industry association is beneficial.
