Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician provides preventative maintenance on all equipment and repairs various types of other equipment. Responsible for the grounds and sites appearance.

Responsibilities:

• Performance preventative maintenance on all equipment.
  
• Repairs mixers, mills, and other various types of equipment.
  

• Operates forklift.
  
• Responsible for ordering supplies and equipment.
  
• Maintains exterior grounds and site appearance.
  
• Fabricates piping and equipment when needed.
  
• Maintains work order logs, records parts used for repairs, and time required to perform the job.
  

• Supported by SAP Maintenance program.
  

• Participates and provides support with 5S program.
  
• Adhere to all safety requirements/guidelines while performing responsibilities.
  
• Communicates accurately, concisely and professionally with internal stakeholders and outside vendors.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or Equivalent
  
• Excellent communication skills
  
• Basic Microsoft Office Knowledge
  
• Able to work independently
  
• Good at problem solving and troubleshooting
  
• Adapts to changing circumstances and priorities
  

Assists with the maintenance budget preparation. Comply with local, state, and federal documentation and control requirements. Design/revise SOP s relating to utilities/facilities activities and work with environmental group to prepare required documentation. Act as liaison with vendors for technical issues. Develop and document preventative maintenance programs for building using SAP Maintenance program. Works closely with the EHS group to develop and implement general safety policies and SunCare action items. Works with Corp Engineering and acts as site lead for all facility CAP EX projects. Perform repair functions to the equipment as required to maintain operation of the facility including general electrical and PLC troubleshooting. Responsible for the purchase of equipment, parts and materials required to maintain the facility, equipment and fixtures. Assist other departments in maintaining the safety of the facility by using sound judgment and progressive preventive maintenance practices, along with aggressively using state of the art continuous improvement Responsible for assessing structure of the building and make recommendations to keep the property in good state of repair. Responsible for the daily operations of the facilities management criteria directing and overseeing those outside contractors for landscaping, etc. and maintaining appropriate logs of activity.
