A small accounting firm is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join their team. This accounting professional will be responsible for:
- Maintaining records of financial transactions via data entry and/or downloads.
- Performing bank, credit card and other reconciliations.
- Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing for efficiency and accuracy, key financial reports such
as Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Reports.
- Maintaining General Ledger.
- Maintaining accurate records on accounts, payable and receivable, payroll, and daily
financial entries and reconciliations.
- Performing payroll functions as backup to payroll manager.
- Communicating with clients on an as needed basis.
- Working with CPS s or tax preparers as required.
This is an in office position. Selected candidate will be working until 5pm Monday - Thursday with an early departure time Friday based on business needs.
Requirements
Minimum of an Associate s degree or at least 3 years of bookkeeping/accounting
experience required.
Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and
accounting systems.
Proficient in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop software.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Must be self-directed, able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Excellent oral, written, and social communication skills.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
