- This position will focus on gathering, analyzing and reporting out written information collected in highly technical meetings with state IT resources and vendor partners.
- The candidate will work with new applications and retroactively for applications that have already been developed and need supporting Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) documentation (Project Charters, Requirements Traceability Matrices, System Design Documents, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work within tight deadlines, talk with subject matter experts and high attention to detail are a must for this position.
- Comprehensive experience with Microsoft Office products is required. Additionally, experience with Tableau is a plus.
- Candidates for this position should be self-driven individuals who have expert knowledge with the SDLC process, including technical concepts, integration, interfaces, data conversion, data migration, etc.
- Individuals with prior state or federal Medicaid IT project experience are highly desired for this position.
Responsibilities: - Develop comprehensive SDLC documentation that includes functional specifications, design documents, user manuals, and other technical reports.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with system owners, software developers, and other stakeholders to understand product details and translate them to technical specifications.
- Conduct meetings with system owners, developers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for documentation and analysis.
- Review and revise documents to ensure clarity, consistency, and quality.
- Prioritize and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously while maintaining close attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned by client.
Job Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Writer in the IT industry, preferably with a focus on software documentation with a Federal Agency.
- 5 + years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Writer in an application development environment.
- Expert knowledge of the SDLC and software development technologies.
- Experience in an Agile application development environment is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication with exceptional grammar and punctuation skills.
- Ability to translate and present complex technical information into clear, concise documentation for a variety of audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proven ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and precision in fast-paced environments, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively identify opportunities, take initiative, and implement solutions to drive organizational success.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of effectively solving complex problems and implementing innovative solutions.
