Job Description

  • Job Title: CYP Service Manager Commissioning (People Services)
  • Directorate: People
  • Salary: 48,705 - 51,981

Tasks

  1. Lead the development and delivery of commissioning, procurement, and contracting for children and young people's services.
  2. Increase the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of People Directorate commissioned services.
  3. Identify ways to achieve better outcomes at lower cost.
  4. Reduce the cost of services and minimize administrative costs to target resources effectively.
  5. Jointly lead the All Age Commissioning program

Requirements

  1. Develop a consistent approach to commissioning and contracting across children's services.
  2. Manage children's commissioning and contracting.
  3. Develop annual Sufficiency Strategy and commissioning plan.
  4. Deliver the efficiency strategy's commissioning aspects.
  5. Ensure high-quality, cost-effective provision.
  6. Oversee voluntary sector commissioning.
  7. Lead child and adolescent mental health services commissioning.
  8. Jointly lead transport services commissioning.
  9. Lead Officer for PFI contracts and short break services.
  10. Promote equality, diversity, and community cohesion.
  11. Participate in Performance Review and Development meetings.
  12. Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  13. Comply with health and safety measures.
