Job Description
Position: Databricks/Oracle DBA/AWS RDS Consultant
Duration: 12 months+ Government Contract
Location: 100% Remote
Required:

Technical Skills:
Agile Project Management - Expert (10+yrs experience) -
Databricks Platform - Advanced (7-10yrs experience) -
Oracle Database Administration - Advanced (7-10yrs experience) -
Amazon Web Services (AWS) - Intermediate (3-5yrs experience) -
Please confirm experience with each bullet point below:
Work with the team to plan, setup and configure Databricks in AWS -
o Assist with the Databricks cluster setup -
o Configure compute resources needed in the Databricks Cluster -
o Prepare scripts, Policies needed -
o Plan for Disaster recovery -
Administer Databricks environment -
o Provision users/access as needed -
o Setting up and monitoring resource usage and platform performance metrics -
o Assist developers in accessing functionality -
o Work with the Infra team to manage the Databricks infrastructure -
o Assist with Disaster recovery exercises -
o Manage environment and Data security -
Assist the Senior Oracle DBA in managing On-Prem Oracle databases and AWS Oracle RDS -
o Monitor Database performance -
o Monitor Database backups and restores as necessary -
o Manage user provisioning -
o Manage Data security functions including role grants/rescinds etc -
o Proactively identify possible resource bottlenecks -
o Monitor automated patching and patching schedules -
o Apply manual patches / upgrades when needed -
o Assist with Annual Audits/reviews -
