Job Description

At our organisation, your mission as a Clinical Commissioning Manager RNLD is to lead the delivery of NHS Continuing Health Care (NHS CHC), Funded Nursing Care (FNC), and implementation of NHS CHC Personal Health Budgets (CHC PHB) for specific areas, focusing on your expertise in Learning Disabilities (LD) or significant LD experience.

Your Expertise:

  • Clinical Leadership: Provide strong clinical leadership and professional expertise in verifications, individual case assessments, and management for CHC eligible adults, especially those with LD.
  • Recruitment and Induction: Lead recruitment and induction of new clinical staff, ensuring a skilled and dedicated team.
  • Deputisation: Deputise for the Clinical Business Manager when required, showcasing decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Complaints Handling: Investigate complaints for the clinical team, ensuring timely responses and sensitive discussions with families.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with local authorities, NHS England, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless healthcare delivery.
  • Quality Improvement: Lead audit and quality improvement initiatives within the CHC Team, enhancing service delivery continuously.
  • Personalisation: Promote the personalisation agenda within the Adult Continuing Health Care framework, advocating for individualised care.
  • Financial Oversight: Approve high-cost care packages, verification panels, and individual placement agreements, following financial guidelines.
  • Complex Case Review: Review complex cases, ensuring clinically appropriate and cost-effective care plans.
  • Research and Development: Stay updated with national research to inform personal and organisational development, supporting evidence-based practices.
  • QIPP Implementation: Drive the implementation of the ICB's QIPP agenda in relation to personalised care.
  • Operational Leadership: Provide operational management and leadership to the CHC nursing team, ensuring high-quality care.
  • Team Development: Support, motivate, and develop nursing staff within the team, equipping them with skills for excellent CHC practice.
