Job Description

Warehouse Operations Lead/Supervisor



Private family-owned business that has been growing for several decades is seeking an experience Warehouse Manager. Our company has entrusted Circle Strategies with recruitment of candidates for this position.


Our Warehouse Operations Manager will provide the leadership and management of daily activities in our 300,000 square foot multi-function warehouse and fulfillment center in New Bedford, MA. Responsible for the overall receipt, storage, pick n pack, inventory control, quality control, fulfillment and distribution of various products supporting the Wholesale, Retail, and DTC channels for multiple brands. Direct responsibility for the site implementing and maintaining continuous improvement through KPI s. Leverages our WMS system to recommend and implement process improvements to improve productivity and efficiency rates. Develop, oversee, participate, and manage all customer service communications. We need a leader and a team player who also feels comfortable working independently with a focus on collective goals, maintain company culture, values, and safety rules.


Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage and prioritize daily tasks and the workflow of the warehouse team.
  • Serve as a backup to the warehouse management system, proficient in data manipulation using Excel.
  • Ensure clear understanding and alignment with daily goals among team members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse operations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee inventory control procedures.
  • Implement safety protocols and adhere to all relevant regulations.
  • Schedule and coordinate warehouse staff to meet operational demands.
  • Process and manage warehouse supplies and inventory, restocking as needed.
  • Motivate and train team members, fostering a culture of leadership and accountability.
  • Address and resolve customer problems and issues promptly and professionally.


Must Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Bachelors degree is optional.
  • Three+ years management experience in a high-volume warehouse/distribution environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of warehouse procedures, systems, and terminology.
  • Working knowledge of all systems related to a distribution center (mechanical), procedural. (SOPs), WMS systems. MS Office, excellent experience in data manipulation required.
  • Proven leadership and team motivation experience. Effective interpersonal and communication abilities. Maintain regular professional development conversations with warehouse staff. Provide motivational leadership and facilitate change. Guides the coaching and development of direct reports, supervisor, or lead staff. Support, advise, and facilitate resolution of associate concerns and issues. Performance management of warehouse staff - this includes celebrating individual wins and coaching staff who need assistance.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Solid project planning and organizational skills
  • Proven experience to develop innovative solutions for increased productivity.
  • Adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Standing, sitting, walking, walking up stairs
  • Lifting: 50 lbs.
  • Operate hand jack at a minimum, fork truck preferred. (optional).
