Requirements
- Computing-related degree
- Expertise in Rust (or a similar low-level systems programming language such as C or C++)
- Understanding of key concepts: memory management, safety, concurrency, multi-threading, low latency
- UNIX and Cross-Platform development
- Experience with some of the main Rust frameworks: Rocket, Actix-web, Warp, Tide, Nickel, Rocket2 (Rocket.rs), Iron, Gotham, Hyper, Tera
- Experience with Rust libraries, such as: Serde: Tokio, Reqwest, Crossbeam, RustCrypto, Diesel, Image, Actix Regex
- We also keen to hear from C / C++ / Embedded C Developers who are interested in switching into a Rust development role, so proficiency in using C++ libraries and frameworks, such as Boost, Qt, and STL is desirable
- Knowledge of software development best practices and design patterns.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to adapt to different projects and technologies quickly.
Desirable:
- Systems development expertise: real-time, low latency, kernel, OS, multi-threading
- For C++ Developers an expert understanding of object orientation / OO programing
- Experience in key C and C++ libraries and framework, such as Boost, Qt, STL (Standard Template Library), OpenSSL, SDL (Simple DirectMedia Layer), wxWidgets, Poco C++ Libraries, QuantLib, FIX, OpenMP, TA-Lib, ACE, GTK+, OpenCV, ACE (Adaptive Communication Environment), FLTK (Fast, Light Toolkit), Cinder, WxWidgets, Allegro, Berkeley DB, Eigen, CGAL (Computational Geometry Algorithms Library), Shark, Dlib, libcurl, libevent, Unreal Engine, Unity, SFML, Cocos2d-x, Irrlicht, Allegro, OpenAL, FFmpeg, GSL (GNU Scientific Library), GLFW (Graphics Library Framework), JUCE, NanoGUI, Protocol Buffers (protobuf), ZeroMQ, Apache Thrift, etc

We are particularly on the lookout for quality candidates with the following skills: Software engineering related academic background (preferred but not essential), so that you have a base level understanding of the software development lifecycle, how software evolves, and the qualities of well written software. Expertise in one or more major programming languages and associated frameworks or libraries (e.g. C, C++, Java, C#, .NET, Python, Golang, Javascript, Typescript, Swift, Kotlin, etc Design patterns - the ability to contribute to software design discussions at an object or class level, and then implement those designs. Quality core programming / implementation skills. We are interested in working with candidates that know what it takes to write software with all the good qualities like being robust, scalable, thread safe, extensible, reliable, maintainable, etc.
