Job Description

The successful candidate will perform a variety of Civil and Water Resource planning and design tasks for projects including the following:

  • Design projects of varying disciplines (levee design, WTPs, pump stations, pipelines, storage tanks etc.)
  • Hydraulic modeling for potable water systems and flooding analyses
  • Prepare figures, maps, and other graphics using AutoCAD and GIS software
  • Prepare technical reports and memoranda
  • Communicate well with other staff engineers, project managers, and principal engineers

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Potable Water system design (WTPs, pipelines, pump stations, storage tanks)
  • Wastewater/Storm Drain system design (Pipelines and lift stations)
  • Water/Wastewater System planning (Master Plans, hydraulic modeling)
  • Flood Control System Design (levee design, ULDC compliance)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in civil engineering field
  • PE Registration in California, or ability to obtain CA registration within 1 yr, if relocating from another state with a PE
  • Experience with GIS, AutoCAD, and Civil3D
