Menswear Sales Manager
Our client is a large manufacturer of apparels. They sell to major retailers in the US, Europe and the UK such as GAP, VF, PVH, M&S, H&M etc. They are seeking an experienced Menswear Sales Manager to develop their business in the UK.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for business development (new account opening) as well as account management of existing accounts in the UK. The role will be the key liaison person between buyers and the business in the UK.
Menswear Sales Manager - The Role:
- Responsible for growing the business with existing accounts as well as be aiming to open up new customer relationships
- Responsible for developing new ranges, spotting gaps in the market and working with the design and development teams to develop collections
- Working closely with factories in India, negotiating prices, margins, etc
- Reinforcing existing customer relationships, deep diving into their needs, offering solutions
- Multi tasking and be able to juggle across different product areas- wovens (denim and non denim) and knits (flat knits)
- Taking full ownership of their business in the UK
- Travelling to far east or Europe for research, gathering market insights and helping designers to set the direction on trends and new seasons
Requirements
Menswear Sales Manager: The Person
- Be an experienced sales/commercial professional ideally from supplier/manufacturing background
- Be well-connected to buyers on the high street either in the UK
- Have a strong eye for product, trends and be highly commercial
- Be an experienced negotiator and be thorough with costings/margins
- Be a good manager and a collaborative team player
