Credit Controller

Our significant growth has led us to invest further across the business to increase revenue, partnerships with our customers and in turn, expand and create different functions within the business. With this comes requirements for a Credit Controller to join our Fueller family!

This will be a key role within the business, as it s such a key acquisition into this department, it will sit centrally across the credit and risk department. This brings with it the opportunity to contribute to the development of the function moving forward.

Alongside this, you will be extensively trained and supported to become an ambassador of The Fuel Store and what we can do for our clients.

Brief Overview:

Permanent Opportunity: Full Time

Basic Salary: 22,000 - 25,000

Bonus: Up to 3,000 OTE

Location: Birmingham, B2

Requirements

• Proactively manage and monitor the credit control function, including credit limits, credit terms, and credit holds.
  
• Review and assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers, using various credit assessment tools and techniques.
  
• Implement effective collection strategies to minimise overdue accounts and reduce days sales outstanding.
  
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, payment agreements, and collection activities.
  
• Work closely with sales and customer service teams to address customer queries and concerns, providing excellent customer service.

• Be comfortable making outbound, difficult phone calls than involve negotiation and moral understanding.
  

To have the ability to contribute to The Fuel Store s success, you will need:

• 12 Months of experience as a Credit Controller or similar occupation.
  
• 12 Months of experience analysing credit reports (Essential)
  
• Proficient in Excel mainly pivots and v-lookups.
  
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  
• Excellent organisation skills - well-organised with a proven ability to multitask.
  
• Ability to meet strict deadlines.
  
• Flexibility, a team player with the ability to work independently when required.

• Have excellent listening skills.
