- To represent CTS Doncaster in the role of Estimator.
- To provide quotes to customers in a timely manner, ensuring all quotes are sent with the correct and accurate information requested by the customer, including any supporting information.
- To work alongside Business Development and Operations in compiling complex tender submissions and PQQs, working with all relevant departments to complete in a timely manner.
- Ensure that estimating activity is performed efficiently and to the relevant legal, statutory and customer's requirements, without loss in quality or standards.
- Manage the regional list of customer commercial rates, ensuring they reflect the pricing levels agreed by the P&L owner of the site, updating them when necessary.
- Mange the process of annual updating regional rates to reflect pricing changes, as well as amendments to specific customer termed rates which need to be reflected in CTSi
- Work with relevant subcontractors (both within the Group and outside it) to ensure we have access to agreed rates for work CTS subcontract on a regular basis
- To attend site meetings independently or with relevant senior leaders linked to projects where pricing has been led through the estimating team.
- Develop relationships with non-account managed customers, ensuring a regular dialogue around current and future works, working to help grow sales.
- Work alongside the site/s Business Development team to ensure an accurate picture within CTSi of the sales pipeline of quoted works.
- Manage and record key commercial metrics associated with estimating and quotations including (but not limited to) win rate, reasons for quotes being declined.
- Work with other Phenna Group Infrastructure businesses including other CTS businesses that are using CTSi to develop best practice and common standards on estimating
- Record and monitor the volume and type of quotes issued, working with the Operations team to provide input and information on likely future works
- Ensure the confidentiality of all customer information obtained or created during the performance of estimating customer quotations
