Senior Laboratory Technician

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To represent CTS in the role of Senior Laboratory Technician.
• To lead by example.
• To raise any problems to the Laboratory Manager as soon as they arise.

• To work in a safe manner that is in accordance with the Company Health & Safety Policies.
• To assist with UKAS audits alongside Laboratory Manager.
• To carry out sign off on Laboratory testing reports.
• To ensure and maintain a positive working environment.

• To provide training to all team members and ensure 4 yearly audits are carried and maintained.
• Ensure samples are booked in and processed correctly.
• To ensure that the laboratory working areas are safe, clean and tidy environments in which to work.

• To ensure testing activities are maintained in compliance with UKAS and Company requirements.

• To commit to ensuring the confidentiality of all customer information obtained or created during the performance of laboratory activities, except as required by law.
• To carry out allocated work in accordance with documented in-house procedures, in an expeditious manner.
• To assist the Laboratory Manager with 5 Day TAT.
• To assist the Laboratory Manager with Implementing escalation processes where required.
• To assist Laboratory Manager with pushing all testing through at the end of month.

• First Aid (Can be Supplied)
• Fire Marshal (Can be Supplied)
• Forklift License (Can be Supplied)
• Abrasive Wheel Training (Can be Supplied)

Knowledge & Experience:

• Materials testing background is essential.

• Minimum of 3 year s experience as a laboratory technician.
