Coordinate vessel repairs as directed by the Port Engineers, ensuring job completion.
Oversee the inspection and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, such as compressors, receivers, condensers, chillers, automatic and hand valves, expansion valves, and capillary tubes.
Assign work activities to own team based on priority, ensuring optimal manpower utilization and maximum productivity.
Review the daily operations schedule to ensure that the necessary manpower and equipment are available. Follow specified systems, processes, and procedures implemented in the workplace to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and other requirements/standards. Work safely at all times, protecting the health and safety of everyone in the workplace.
Inspect and monitor work areas and the environment to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
Determine which tools, equipment, parts, and materials need to be purchased or replaced to ensure efficient operations.
Maintain workshop pick-ups, crane pick-ups, and forklifts to ensure they are in good working order at all times Ensure compliance within their areas regarding all Company Health & Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality policies, manuals, procedures, laws, regulations, and standards Actively participate in Company Health & Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality consultations, training, and initiatives
Qualifications
Education and Professional Certification
Engineer with good knowledge of the air conditioning and refrigeration trade - Degree in related field
Professional Experience - 5 years of relevant repair experience, preferably in offshore
Well versed in MS office
Fluent in English
