DAY IN THE LIFE

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (OR PREFERENCES WHERE NOTED)
Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree
A valid Colorado Teaching License with Special Education endorsement
English Language Acquisition (ELA) qualification
5-years of teaching experience for students with intensive needs
3-years experiencing management and coaching experience
Experience working in a school setting with students with varied disabilities
NICE TO HAVES:
Speaks Spanish and has experience working with bilingual students
Demonstrated success working with students of color
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Compliance:
Effectively monitor IEP compliance and application of the instruction and supports that are aligned to students transition goals and written in student IEP ;
Analyze student Progress Monitoring on Enrich to determine if students are making progress on IEP goal;
Culture:
Whole Network:
Communicate regularly and often with Center Directors/Teachers to provide feedback, updates, and professional development opportunitie;
Complete weekly observations of center programs using a Quality Indicator Rubric
Participate in weekly check ins with center Directors to review observations, provide feedback, and work on center ;
Provide 1-on-1 observation and coaching for MI Directors and Teachers, and facilitate growth and performance evaluation for each teacher, including midyear and end-of-year

Leadership and Coaching:
Campus:
Build and manage a campus team of Special Educators that work together, collaborate, and problem-solve
Coach and evaluate Special Education teachers and Education Assistants on their instructional and case management
Ensure compliance with IDEA by attending IEP meetings quarterly, consulting on cases as needed, reviewing completed IEPs, monitoring discipline data, and consulting with STRIVE s Central Special Education Support and DPS Support Partner as
Provide more intensive guidance and support to new MI Center teachers including an onboarding system
Network:
Collaborate and communicate consistently with Central Support, school administrators, teachers, and district providers to ensure students with IEPs receive meaningful and legally required
Act as the voice of Center programming and continuously drive the Center Program vision at the Netwrok
Work with the Special Education team and Central Support to assess gaps and needs and next steps to address these area;
Participate and lead professional development throughout the school
Coach, evaluate and support the Multi-Intensive Directors/Teacehrs on acceptable instructional duties and culture work in the ;
Plan and implement Professional Development for Center Directors and Teachers that occurs throughout the year, including summer ;
Additional Duties
Ensure student dignity and safety by ensuring teams are consistently trained on all student health plans and toileting protocol;
Complete bi-weekly or quarterly updates for campus admin to review
