Job Description
Title : Audio Video Support Technician
Location : 130 Trinity Ave SW 5th Floor Atlanta, Georgia 30303-0000
Note : This on site position day 1 onsite
job description :
- The Atlanta Public School System is seeking the services of an Audio Video Support Technician to provide direct first-line support to APS schools and administrative
- The Audio Video Support Technician will be assigned to 1 or more schools or The number of assigned sites will depend on the level of district events taking He/she will work under the general supervision of the APS School Support Specialist who has overall responsibility
Scope of Work/Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all audio-visual equipment is in good working order as required to the clients specification and provide immediate support when necessary
Ensure that where possible all AV equipment requested by clients is set up and tested within given timescales
Will be able to manage all AV equipment for the duration of the event(s).
Be aware and knowledgeable of all events and meetings taking place in the
Maintain a comprehensive and accurate working record of room bookings
Ensure all AV equipment is carefully and safely stored and complete regular audits of the equipment
Work with internal teams to resolve audio visual related issues that affect equipment setup or changes
Escalate major issues (wireless, network ) to IT Infrastructure technical teams as necessary
Inventory, validate and report all technology items in Report any asset transfers to ensure ownership is properly captured
Provide support for projects (as needed) that may be running in the schools
Follow established processes and Report to IT any suggestions that will improve process or make support easier or more efficient
ALWAYS maintain exceptional customer service posture
Skills and Qualifications:
3+ years work experience (minimum) 5+ years preferred:
A+ Certification
Strong customer service skills
Knowledge of working with complex audio/visual and collaboration integrated systems
In-depth audio/visual technical knowledge with a minimum of 3 years practical related experience
Must be physically able to load and unload A/V equipment into a van or truck
Experience in organizing, planning, executing complex and highly visible
ITIL experience/certification is a plus
Must have clean criminal record with the ability to pass finger-print background check
Must be authorized to work in the Unites States
Must hold a valid driver s license

Education/Training:
Minimum of Associate degree (preferred)

- This work will be completed on-site at the any of the Atlanta Public Schools sites or building in the metro Atlanta The analystwould need to work M, T, W, TH, F (typically 8am 5pm). Hours may change slightly to accommodate various May be required to pick up equipment or other parts needed for events from the APS IT Warehouse or Central Office
