Sr. Developer, IT Applications (2311705)

Responsible for leveraging cutting-edge technology to solve business problems at American Airlines by designing software or customizing software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. Utilize object-oriented development tools to analyze, model, design, construct, and test software. Support and develop multiple web-based applications, RESTFul APIs, and web services using .NET technologies. Perform work on Agile projects using knowledge of TFS, and Rally. Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance. Collaborate with architecture and infrastructure on application specific needs to ensure scalability and performance. Work with technical leads to assist them with completing the Solution Feasibility Review and Architecture Design Review. Analyze system requirements, design, and document solutions using specified tools and methodologies. Document software designs. Develop coding standards and adhere to best practices and security guidelines; Lead and participate in code reviews.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week/8 a.m.-5 p.m./M-F.
3 years of experience in software engineering or computer engineering, plus demonstrated experience in: JavaScript, Typescript, C#, XML, HTML, ASP.NET, and CSS; Web application development using ASP.NET and MVC; Modern web application development using client side frameworks including Angular and Bootstrap; Restful services using Microsoft .NET Web Api; .NET Unit Testing using MS Test Framework or NUnit; Dependency Injection Frameworks; Internet Information Services; Source control systems including TFS version control or Git; ORM Frameworks including Microsoft Entity Framework; Agile projects; Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server (TFS); Microsoft SQL Server; Object oriented programming.
Masters degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, or related field. A bachelors degree plus 5 years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a master's and 3 years of experience.
