Work in the machine learning team within GRAIL's Bioinformatics and Data Science organization working on post-diagnosis cancer classification. Collaborate as a team member to monitor the dynamics of disease burden and to characterize disease biology with a focus on the post-diagnostic setting. Work with interdisciplinary scientists, clinicians, engineers, and external collaborators to build new diagnostic products to support pharmaceutical development and cancer patient care. Develop disease detection models using advanced machine learning and statistical methods. Lead end-to-end development of the model including data processing, analysis, model iteration, as well as helping to translate the model to a product. Demonstrate knowledge of machine learning and statistics to craft, develop, and improve computational tools. Design, execute, and own analyses of large, complex genomics datasets using machine learning and statistical methods to generate biological insights. Interact cross-functionally and work closely with teams including software engineering, clinical, laboratory operations, research, and product development.
