You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailUnder the guidance of the Lead Clinical Laboratory Aide, Section Head and/or Director performs phlebotomy and limited pre-analytic processing of specimens received in the laboratory. Responsible for appropriately activating provider's electronic orders and/or transcribing provider orders into the electronic medical record (EMR). Interacts professionally with patients, clients, and co-workers throughout the organization. He or she will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties requested by his or her supervisor.Job escriptionEducation/Training: High school education or equivalent is required. Associates degree in science preferred. Completion of a phlebotomy class and/or phlebotomy experience is required.Experience: 2-5 Years' experience in a Laboratory.ResponsibilitiesObtains and processes venous and capillary blood samples required for laboratory analysis from patients of all ages upon request.Provides customer service to patients and stakeholders of the laboratory department.Assists in training of phlebotomy students, nursing or laboratory personnel, as directed, in regards toobtaining, handling and transport of specimens, and other areas related to phlebotomy.Demonstrates compliance with corporate, departmental and job-specific requirements.Identifies problems related to work activities, including involvement in Quality Assurance and QualityImprovement efforts within the department.Demonstrates proficiency in utilization of the hospital/laboratory information and technology systems.Performs other duties as assigned.
Shift: 2pm - 1030 pm Sunday, Monday, Thurs, Fri, Saturday - Set Schedule
