As Workday and HR Solution Architect (f/m/d) within the IT organization you are central to discovering and delivering scalable solutions that will boost the productivity and performance of our People team, as well as all wefox employees and managers.

Being the owner of the HRIS or People (HR) technology landscape, you will collaborate closely with our People team, as well as with your colleagues in the Business and Enterprise Applications product team, and other product teams in IT and Information Security. You will play a key role in defining the People technology architecture, are driving the Workday implementation and rollout, are ensuring compliance with Information Security, Data Privacy and other regulation-relevant requirements, and are automating business processes through end-to-end application integration.

The main objective of our Business and Enterprise Application domain is to maximize business productivity and compliance in order to drive the business performance of wefox, as well as to safeguard its scalability and growth.

In this roles you will:

  • Drive the Workday Launch implementation as the IT owner together with the People project leads and lead the implementation and rollout for IT hands-on

  • Own the HR application architecture together with the People team

  • Support the ADP Payroll implementation, rollout and establish yourself as the technical owner

  • Analyse People (HR) application landscape with the People Team and, define the target picture with Workday and the transformation roadmap

  • Become the technical owner and expert in configuring Workday and other HR applications e.g. ADP, Leapsome, etc., as well as providing technical support and enabling the Service Desk

  • Configuration, troubleshooting and process iterations for Core HCM, Absence, ATS, Advanced Compensation

  • Managing bidirectional integration with key HR systems (such as ADP, DocuSign, Employee Engagement tools, Intranet, IAM, SAP...)

  • Assess the People application portfolio and develop a plan to transition into IT ownership to ensure compliance and eliminate shadow IT

  • Prioritise, assess and configure new features, adjustments, modules and integrations of Workday based on business requirements, compliance, security, risks and sustainability of the system, as well as maturity of the business users

  • Analyse risks in regards to data privacy, information security and FMA requirements and lead mitigation and remediation implementation jointly with respective 1st and 2nd line functions

  • Understand and analyse business challenges and proactively identify improvement potentials and pain points, as well as how applications and technology can contribute to improvement of business performance

  • Capture business demands and requirements of the People team, and translate them into technology solutions which you implement in close collaboration with other IT product teams

  • Understand, research, and follow technical trends in HR IT and assess their potential value to make recommendations on which new technologies to invest in

  • Co-develop a change management plan, including communication and training to the respective business functions

  • Co-develop the technical knowledge and support model, including the technical understanding from People teams

What you bring:

  • 6+ years of experience in HCM / HRIS applications and at least 3+ years in Workday experience in two or more Workday modules
  • Hands-on experience in managing an HRIS system implementation and rollout, ideally internationally
  • Ability to quickly take over the technical management, integration and continuous improvement of the current and future HR application portfolio, in particular Workday, ADP, Leapsome, Officevibe,
  • Agile mindset with proven track record of delivering change in a customer-centric, cross-functional and product focused approach
  • Excellent understanding of People (HR) processes, ideally in the Insurance or Financial Services industry
  • Process mindset with expertise in business process design and implementation, e.g. background as a Consultant
  • Ability to make product decisions based on qualitative customer and user insights and quantitative data
  • A first-class stakeholder manager, with strong communication skills, the proven ability to explain complex topics and translate business into IT and vice versa
  • Analytical mindset, you use data to make decisions
  • Fluency in spoken and written English. German, Spanish or Italian are a plus
