.Devops Engineer

Position: Devops Engineer Location: Sunnyvale, CA(ONSITE) Duration: Long Term Job Description: Description: Need Database engineers one at offshore and one at onshore in Database/DevOps role with Automation and AWS skills preferred, responsible for minor enhancements and Releases/Deployments.Would need to be involved in Technical POCs, setting up Oracle & Cassandra/Couchbase/mongoDB database clusters on-prem and cloud both, setup AWS Elasticsearch clusters and Aurora Postgres Databases, scalability and capacity planning, performance tuning, must be well verse with Oracle and noSQL technologies/databases architecture (Cassandra/mongoDB) and participate in AOS Releases/Deployments... AWS working knowledge is required including Aurora Postgres (in addition to RDS/EC2/EBS/CloudFormation/Route53 etc AWS services). Note: Candidate is expected to have AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Certification or else get certified within 3 weeks after joining. Database Admin/DevOps experience in: - Oracle 19c, RDS Aurora Postgres - NoSQL Database/Distributed Data Stores - MongoDB, Cassandra, Couchbase, plus AWS Elasticsearch Skills in Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) / Certified - Set up, operate, and scale a relational database in the cloud CloudFormation template and automation for database operations python scripting and automation - Aurora Postgres and AWS Elasticsearch - Amazon DynamoDB knowledge is nice to have (not priority) Major knowledge and skills required: - Database designing, implementing, and capacity planning - Install, configure, via Cloud Formation/Automation - Evaluate data analysis models and procedures - Develop tools to manage data stores - Implement, configure, and troubleshoot database instances, replication - Understanding of disaster recovery and implement solutions for RPO and RTO within SLAs - Understanding of data import/ export procedures - Advanced knowledge of database structure, database security issues - Provide end-to-end technical resolutions and RCA - Monitor and optimize system performance using index tuning, disk optimization, and other methods. - Data replication across data centers Automation through shell scripts/python to automate DB setup, day-to-day operations - Should be a stong python developer along with AWS - Technical Stack - Ansible, Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, Python, Elastic Search - Ability to write Dockerfiles and Kubernetes yaml definitions from scratch.. - Linux compute, networking, storage, and DB s (SQL and NoSQL). - Expert in Ansible. Should be able to write automation playbooks for Ansible. - Scripting skills in Python, Golang and Bash. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with Dev, QA, and SRE teams. - Comfortable working with large-scale multi-cloud deployments. - Security and compliance aspects of DevOps. - GitHub, - Jenkins including Jenkins plugins, and pipeline as code (Groovy).
