We want to explore, learn and gain insights. Have you ever wondered why so many YouTube channels USE CAPS LOCK in their video titles and if that has any benefit? Then we are excited to meet you!
Asking the right questions is as important to us as finding answers. And to find those answers, we aim to make conscious choices. Because as much as we love programming, we still think that the best code is no code. Sometimes it might be enough to do a quick analysis in a jupyter notebook instead of building a full-blown feature for an application. That way, we can use the right tools for the job and spend more time on what really matters.
As a result, your work will range from writing clean, testable code for our web application over training
machine learning models to set up no-code dashboards.

__Key responsibilities

• Developing software for collecting, analysing and reporting YouTube data
• Choosing the right tools, architectures and methods to do so
• Bring up and explore new research questions
• Some Dev- and SysOps tasks

Your profile

• Strong programming experience
• Analytical thinking with some degree of statistical knowledge
• Fluent in English or German (written and spoken)

We value your ability to learn, analyse and draw conclusions more than the tools and frameworks you already know. We encourage you to learn new things and give you the time to explore different solutions.

We currently use:

• Python & Django and React with Typescript for our core application
• A whole bunch of data analytics packages and software (especially Pandas, Numpy and Sklearn)
• Different databases like Neo4j, MySQL, Elasticsearch
• CI/CD, Reporting and Testing Tools
