Pedagogy Internship

42 Berlin is a recently launched, radically-inclusive higher education NGO educating 600 students to become cutting-edge techies and software engineers in a practice-based peer-learning environment. 42 Berlin is based on the internationally successful concept of school "42" which was founded 2013 in Paris and today trains over 15,000 students in more than 40 schools all over the World.

At 42 Berlin, we set out to educate the next generation of European software engineers. This means meaningful work, excellent career opportunities and lots of responsibility.

Tasks

As Pedagogy Intern, you will support the Pedagogy team to enable the smooth running of Piscines and oversee that the Students complete the Common Core and move on to the Advanced Curriculum. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare and facilitate all aspects of the Piscines (February and March)
• Onsite presence for dealing with students everyday problems (questions about projects, exams, time management, motivation)
• Develop an automated monitoring system for the 42 Berlin campus
• Core Curriculum monitoring (Progress, Blackhole days, Activity Tracking)
• Support the Pedagogy Lead with the development of specialisation topics (In particular AI and Security)
• Support with community building and events
• Maintain internal tools, knowledge base and documentation

Requirements

• Right to live and work in Germany/Berlin

• Familiar with the 42 pedagogy, ideally having studied in 42 and the Common Core has been completed

• Experience in C, C++, Shell scripting, Python

• Experience with the 42 API is a plus

• Solid English skills (oral and written) to serve as a contact point for students,

• German and/or other languages are appreciated.

• Interest in helping people and solving everyday problems

• Empathetic and sympathetic character with a pragmatic, solution-oriented

• Mindset to serve our students in the best possible way

• Starting on January 30st, 2023

• 4 - 6 months duration, can be a first internship in the 42 curriculum

• 2.284 EUR, full-time (40 hours per week)
