Complete Description:
Under the Georgia Dept. of Transportation (GDOT) and limited supervision and manages the daily operations, resource management and tasks related to IT Applications Enterprise Data Warehouse and ensures that standards and methodologies are implemented on all projects and initiatives.
This position is responsible for supervising all phases of system development and enhancements by directing, developing and monitoring projects that involves IT Applications Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). This position also oversees the planning, implementation, and major modifications to support the EDW team by coordinating with staff throughout the process, including system implementation partner, selection system deployment, testing, training, architectural standards and support, and process improvement initiatives. Evaluates for adequacy, and when necessary, supervises updates or alters existing systems to meet the customer's current business requirements or to correct existing or potential problems. Oversees and/or performs work in analyzing, designing, and maintaining hardware/software systems using agency standards. Prepares and reviews user and information systems documentation for the implementation and maintaining of new and/or modified systems. Monitors, evaluates and assesses information system processes, procedures and technologies to improve efficiency and ensure quality operations, resources and personnel, work tasks and products and overseeing interactions with the State Accounting Office and other agencies regarding data. Supports applications and reports by coordinating the resolution of all Department and user activities.
Ensures all approved production changes and implementations are captured and documented through the development process. Responsible for monitoring, communicating, and elevating issues, risks, and data related changes regarding IT Applications Enterprise Data Warehouse.
Local Atlanta candidates strongly preferred. However, out of state candidates will be accepted.

hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA, working directly with Oracle 11g, 12c and 19c
Required 5 Years hands-on experience in Oracle RAC, ASM environment
Required 3 Years hands-on experience in Oracle Spatial
Required 3 Years Strong SQL and UNIX scripting skills
Required 5 Years Oracle RDBMS concepts and fundamentals
Required 5 Years PL/SQL programming writing complex queries and stored procedures, functions, triggers, etc.
Required 5 Years Advanced querying, PL/SQL, ANSI SQLAdvanced Programming for Data Transformation (Integration Services, DTS, and XML)
Required 5 Years Experience with Oracle OEM, and database monitoring tools, Oracle DataGuard, and Oracle GRID Control. Experience also in Linux, P6 and Golden Gate
Required 5 Years Proficient in business analysis, data modeling, logical and physical database design, data acquisition analysis and design, data access analysis and
Required 3 Years Proficient in planning and management of scope of work and time estimation.
Required 3 Years Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and management.
Required 3 Years Oracle certification in 11g or 12c
Required Ability to mentor others and strong problem-solving skills with a desire to learn new technologies
