Job Description

Salary is fully negotiable based on relevant experience

OneSpace Interiors are a commercial fit-out company based in Northwich, Cheshire who are expanding rapidly. Due to this growth, OneSpace is recruiting an Electrical Estimator to join our vibrant team in Northwich.

Their Electrical Division is rapidly expanding with larger-scale contracts within the commercial sector. OneSpace Interior s portfolio of clients is extensive with a business plan supporting substantial growth.

The main purpose of the role is the production of highly detailed and accurate estimates and designs for Commercial Electrical projects across the UK. You will be required to work on tenders ranging from 5k up to 500k and produce results on time and to budget.

The ideal candidate will have demonstratable electrical estimating/bid presentation experience, preferably within a commercial setting. They will hold a full UK driving licence for travelling to client sites. Possess a proven track record of successfully winning electrical projects and the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications, along with estimating software. The candidate will be an excellent communicator & negotiator with strong IT skills, self-motivated, with the ability to work well under pressure and be flexible in approach to tender deadlines.



Requirements

  • Review tender documents & produce estimates and cost plans for multiple complex projects
  • Carry out site surveys & identify potential risks / issues with tenders. Complete tender documentation
  • Follow-up submitted tenders with clients and involvement with any post-tender meetings
  • Invite and collect quotations from sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Actively seek enquiries and invitations for potential projects
  • Research materials, equipment, and labour costs
  • Analysing company data, rates, and prices, using software packages
  • Take off materials, and quantities from drawings and plans
  • Produce Bills of Quantities
  • Establishing value engineering opportunities to give out bids a competitive edge
  • Handover projects in a clear and defined manner to the contract s operation team
  • Provide a knowledge and a high proficiency of commercial acumen in all bids and quotations
  • To understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time
  • To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required
  • A background in either quantity surveying or electrical engineering (contractor) would be an advantage.

Hold a full UK driving licence (Essential)

HNC/HND qualified (Preferred)
Qualifications and relevant industry (Essential)
