Job Description:

Implements policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations. Implements programs to train employees in work site safety practices, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques for chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other materials. Tours plant to inspect fire and safety equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations. Inspects organization facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, makes recommendations for corrective action and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented. Assists in the investigation of accidents and injuries to minimize. Compiles and submits reports as required. Support additional special projects as requested. Provides information, signs, posters, barriers, and other materials to warn of potential and actual safety hazards and to prevent access to hazardous conditions.

Requirements:

Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three-to-four-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
