Tasks

We re looking for a UX/UI Designer (f/m/d) to join the simplesurance UX & Design Team and be part of one of the most successful InsurTech start-ups in Germany selling our services across Europe and Japan. You will work in close collaboration and have the opportunity to grow with our Design Manager, Product and Project Managers and other stakeholders, in order to bring our InsurTech products and services to the next level.

• You will keep an organized design environment and plan design activities in alignment with our Head of UX & Design
• You will curate design-systems for our platform products
• You will analyze project briefings, create processes and inform decisions by using research methods
• You will design user interfaces and flows following the usability principles / variables and articulate the rationale to stakeholders
• You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other Designers to test, iterate and increase the fidelity of your design deliverables
• You will identify usability issues through usability tests and report findings to the design manager and stakeholders
• You will document design activities and retrospect to improve collaboration and generate learning
• You will collect and share learnings frequently within the team to improve design operations

Requirements

• You bring 3+ years of experience in digital design
• You have experience in using UI & visual design, prototyping and collaboration tools bringing a strong, clean visual design sense which is visible in your portfolio
• You are able to inform and rationalize your UX process through different UX methodologies and have the ability to clearly articulate design decisions
• You bring strong design skills across apps and web apps
• You have experience in making use of material UI, creating and curating design systems as well as working with design libraries and visual assets
• You have experience in working within agile organisations, closely with engineers in cross-discipline teams
• You have a strong sense of taking ownership of the design process as well as motivate the collaboration with peer designers
• You have strong analytical skills and are able to break things apart and work on complex projects
• You possess business fluency in English along with strong communication skills
• Bonus if you have interest in insurance-related topics and trends
