Job Description

Perrill is an award-winning digital marketing agency in Minnetonka, Minnesota, that exists to power businesses to win online. As a full-service digital agency, we help a wide range of clients reach their business goals through custom in-house marketing, design, and development solutions.

Perrill is searching for a new Director of Client Success to serve as the leader of our account management and project management teams. The Director of Client Success plays a pivotal role in overall client success and retention by overseeing and coaching account and project managers; managing and growing client relationships; serving as a key escalation point on accounts and projects; and working with the marketing and project teams to strategize, execute, and optimize design, development, and marketing activities across clients websites and digital campaigns.

The Director of Client Success reports to the President and works collaboratively with our team of digital experts to help our clients reach their business goals. The Director of Client Success is measured by:

  • Management: You will manage the performance and resources of the Account Management and Project Management teams
  • Account retention and growth: You will work on identifying opportunities to retain and upsell Perrill s current client list
  • Account ownership: You will work on select accounts, helping to manage client relationships along with the day-to-day project details
  • Project success: You will oversee the success of our projects and serve as an escalation point to keep projects on track and on budget
  • Initiative: You will work with strategists to develop new tactics and ideas, advocating for client success
  • Value delivery: You will understand and communicate the value of Perrill s services and marketing endeavors to clients
  • Teamwork: You will work with our internal teams to ensure effective cross-functional collaboration so that team members have a deep understanding of and are equipped to achieve client s goals and objectives
  • Process Development and Adherence: You will develop effective processes in collaboration with other departments and ensure these processes are followed by all members of your department


Additional Skills and Requirements

  • 10+ years of combined account management and project management experience
  • 2+ years of experience managing people
  • Proven track record of client retention
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with website builds, project tracking, QA/UAT, and project estimation (previous experience or familiarity with Agile methodology preferred)
  • Experience working directly with B2B and B2C clients, including eCommerce
  • Previous agency experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of marketing strategy, measurement, and reporting, including Google Analytics and Google Data Studio
  • Working knowledge of SEO, digital advertising, and HubSpot
  • Working knowledge of common CMS platforms such as WordPress and Magento is preferred


Salary: $110,000 to $150,000 baseplus management bonus based on achievement of overall business performance. Target 12.5% bonus for 2023, 25% bonus thereafter.

Note: This is not a remote position. Candidates must reside in the Twin Cities area to be eligible for this role.
