Associate Manager Integration & Test Engineering

Location: Rochester, New York

Job Description:

  • The Assembly Integration and Test focus factory Operations is looking for an Electrical Associate Test Engineering Manager.
  • Testing can be related to electrical, radiometric or optical performance in ambient, vibration, thermal, vacuum, or EMI environments.
  • The Manager will be responsible to support the business to assign and develop test engineers and technicians to prepare and execute the test environment to fulfill flowed down system requirements.
  • Supporting and mentoring the Test Engineering team as they are required to perform a variety of technical tasks of moderate scope and complexity associated with the design and test of highly complex optical sensing spaceflight hardware utilizing basic technical standards, principles, theories and concepts to develop and execute test plans and procedures.
  • The manager will be responsible for the personal and professional growth of the test engineers on the team.
  • Managing the planning, execution and evaluation of major system and subsystem test activities, preparing input to schedules and status reviews.
  • Working cross functionally within functional areas as well as business areas
  • Overseeing processes for technical meetings, proposals and studies.
  • Overseeing capital projects, routine and preventive maintenances as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or equal
  • 5+ years of prior hands on testing experience with knowledge of high reliability, aerospace products
  • Experience leading teams of direct and or functional reports in a technical or industrial setting
  • Strong communicator, written and verbal communication a must within and outside of function.
  • Proficient with MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience designing, building and integrating electronic test equipment
  • Experience with developing, writing and updating test procedures
  • Experience working in a clean room with ESD and contamination sensitive flight hardware
